The Australian Coccinellid (ladybird) beetle CRYPTOLAEMUS MONTROUZIERI attacks
the common species of mealybug (Planococcus citri, Pseudococcus affinis).
Both adults and larvae eat all stages of the pests. ALL predators and parasites for mealybugs and scales need a minimum temperature of 20C (68F) to be active, preferably higher, limiting most customers to summer use. |
