THRIPS |
Several species of AMBLYSEIUS predatory mites can be used on protected crops
against thrips such as Thrips tabaci and Frankliniella occidentalis. They eat
the young thrips, and may also take young spider mites. They will also feed on
pollen. Minimum temperature 20C (68F), daylength more than 13 hours. Blue sticky traps hung above the crop will collect adult thrips without interfering with the predators. Supplied either as sprinkler packs for direct application, or in sachets containing breeding colonies with food, for slow release over several weeks.
